What is a weighted blanket?

A weighted blanket is just what you think it is. Weighted blankets are explicitly designed for therapeutic applications and generally weigh between two to thirteen kg. Studies have suggested that deep pressure stimulation via weighted blankets could offer relief for a range of conditions.

How do weighted blankets work?

A weighted blanket made up of pockets filled with a weighted material, such as:
● Poly pellets
● Weighted discs
● Glass beads

The effects that positive added pressure has on the body is known as deep pressure stimulation. Research has shown that deep-pressure touch can calm the nervous system in both people and animals with sensory sensitivities, especially when evenly distributed across the whole body, like when using a weighted blanket.

What blanket weight and size should I choose?

We recommended that you choose a blanket that is approximately 10% of your body weight. Kuddle weighted blankets are available between 5 to 11 kg for adults. For optimal comfort, we recommend using the weight closest to 10% of your body weight. If you’re in-between weights, we recommend rounding up to the higher weight, this ensures the blanket creates a hugging feeling on your body to help you fall and stay asleep.

Head to toe rule applies when choosing the size of a blanket. Please check the size of the blanket from available options.

Which weighted blanket should I choose?

We have 2 types of luxurious weighted blankets in different sizes.

Lush Edition is specially designed for all seasons comfort with one side made from ultra-soft Minky plush fabric for winter and 100% bamboo cooling for summer.

Bamboo Edition is the ultimate comfort for hot sleeper with moisture wicking fabric. Inner blanket, outer cover and pillow cover all made from 100% bamboo fabric for ice-cool feeling and stress-free deep sleep.

Is Kuddle blanket washable?

Yes, the Kuddle blanket comes with a free easy to remove cover with a 4-way zipper system. All covers are machine washable.

How Kuddle blanket is different from other weighted blankets?

Kuddle blanket is different from other blankets in many ways. We manufacture our blankets using materials and fabrics that other companies consider far too expensive. Most blankets come without cover and do not last long if washed too often. Blanket covers with ties are cheap and do not support the weight of the blanket. Kuddle blanket is the only weighted blanket with a 4-way zipper to fully protect the blanket for years to come without losing the therapeutic benefits.

Do you make blankets for kids?

Yes, kids/junior weighted blanket is available in a single size and weight.
